I am currently the Operations Manager for the Newcastle Clinical Research Facility (NCRF) in the Faculty of Medical Sciences. My role sits within the Leadership and Management team and is held within the Translational and Clinical Institute
I oversee the professional support service in order to meet the strategic and operational objectives of the NCRF, Faculty and University and to assure the future sustainability of the NCRF. This includes working alongside the Directors of both facilities in developing and implementing strategic and operational plans and ensuring a culture of continuous improvement is embedded in the NCRF’s business delivery to maximise the quality, efficiency, and continuity of the NCRF’s work, whilst identifying, recommending and implementing process/service improvements.
I work very closely with our central service colleagues in managing all elements of the NCRF finance, HR and communications.
Previous Roles
My first role at Newcastle University was as a HR Assistant back in 2014. Since then, I have held a number of roles across the University including HR Assistant, Office Manager and Team Leader.
