I am currently the Professional & Administration Services Coordinator for the Newcastle Clinical Research Facility (NCRF) in the Faculty of Medical Sciences, held within the Translational and Clinical Institute
I oversee the Claiming of patient visits/Travel for Clinical Trials within NCRF, Collating and submitting claims for patient visits, additional itemised costs and travel & expenses to recover costs relating to trials undertaken in the CRF and CARU. Acting as the verifying signatory for travel and expenses incurred directly by patients, Liaising with sponsors to ensure monitoring visits have been carried out and invoicing can proceed. Also using external web systems where required by funders to submit claims
I have been in my role for 15 years; I work very closely with NCRF Trial Co-Ordinators and Data Manage Team also NHS Trust Finance.
