I am currently a Clinical Research Nurse for the Clinical Ageing Research Unit employed by Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Trust.
As a band 5 registered adult nurse, I have a variety of clinical, managerial, educational and organisational roles and responsibilities. My key area of responsibility is to advocate for the patient. This is supported by the Professional Standards for Nurses. Additionally, in line with the International Conference of Harmonisation Good Clinical Practice, I ensure the safety and wellbeing of research participants.
Working closely with the Director of the unit, I manage and co-ordinate research studies.
Previous Roles
Since leaving school at 16, I have been employed mainly in a variety of office-based administration and book keeping roles. I qualified in Adult Nursing from Northumbria University in 2020.
