I am currently a Clinical Trials Coordinator for the Newcastle Clinical Research Facility (NCRF) in the Faculty of Medical Sciences.
I oversee/support/progress a portfolio of early phase studies from Site Selection Visits (SSV) to Site Initiation Visits (SIV), and beyond. I have costed single and multi-site costings for non-commercial studies working to meet tight submission deadlines to various high funding bodies. I also work alongside and with the Research Facilities CARU and the Dental CRF.
I work very closely with Principal Investigators (PI), Sponsors, Clinical Research organisations (CRO), other lead site Universities, Regulatory bodies, and NJRO to progress study set up.
Previous Roles
I have worked in a variety of posts within the Newcastle upon Tyne Foundation NHS Trust; Financial (payroll and pension in Clerical and a Managerial position), admin support at Exec and Trust Board Level, and Office Manager for Diabetes Research Network (DRN). I have worked in Clinical Research since 2008 and moved to my current post with Newcastle University in 2014.
